Giuseppina Spano si occupa di ricerca in psicologia con particolare interesse per le interazioni tra fattori psicologici e ambientali. I suoi studi esplorano il ruolo del verde urbano e delle soluzioni basate sulla natura nel migliorare il benessere psico-fisico e contrastare il cambiamento climatico. È specializzata in psicometria e metodologie di valutazione, con applicazioni che spaziano dall’invecchiamento sano alla neuropsicologia dell'invecchiamento. Ha contribuito allo sviluppo di strumenti e protocolli per promuovere la sostenibilità e la salute mentale, integrando approcci interdisciplinari tra scienze ambientali e psicologia applicata.
