L'Ing. Alessandro Pisapia si laurea con Lode in Ingegneria Edile-Architettura (LM-4) presso l'Università degli Studi di Salerno con una tesi dal titolo "Theory of Plastic Mechanism Control for Stochastic Steel Frames" . A Luglio dello stesso anno, consegue l'abilitazione alla professione di Ingegnere Civile-Ambientale e, conseguentemente, si iscrive all'Ordine degli Ingegneri di Salerno nella sezione A - settore Civile ed Ambientale.
Il 24 Febbraio 2021, consegue il Dottorato di Ricerca in "Rischio e Sostenibilità nei Sistemi dell'Ingegneria Civile, Edile ed Ambientale" presso l'Università di Salerno, presentando la dissertazione finale dal titolo "Local Buckling of Aluminium Members in the Elastic-Plastic Range".
Dal Primo Giugno 2021 al 31 Maggio 2023 è stato Assegnista di ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile (DICIV) dell'Università di Salerno.
Dal Primo Dicembre 2023 al 14 Luglio 2024, è stato Ricercatore RTDa in servizio presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile (DICIV) dell'Università di Salerno.
A partire dal 15 Luglio 2024, è Ricercatore RTT presso l'Università Digitale Pegaso.
